William T. Ferris, III was born
in New York, New York on June 15, 1946 He became a member of the New York State Bar in 1977
and was admitted to practice in the U.S. Supreme Court, Eastern District of New York in 1988.
He is a graduate of Hobart College (B.A. 1968) and Fordham University (J.D. 1976). Mr.
Ferris served as Captain in the U.S. Naval Reserve (1968-1994) and Assistant District
Attorney, Suffolk County (1978-2001).
Mr. Ferris is an officer of the Suffolk Academy of Law (1997-2001), a member
of the Training Committee of the New York State District Attorney's
Association (1997-2001); Chair of the Curriculum Committee of the Suffolk
Academy of Law (1999-), and a member of the Suffolk County and New York
State Bar Associates; Suffolk County Criminal Bar Association (Member, Board
of Directors, 1997-).
Mr. Ferris's practice includes criminal law, general litigation, commercial
law and elder law.
