A PROFILE VIEW

Our firm consists of two partners, John P. Bracken and Linda U. Margolin, two associates, Patricia M. Meisenheimer and Marilyn Lord James, and counsel, William T. Ferris and Jeffrey D. Powell. Three paralegals and three legal secretaries, as well as clerical and bookkeeping staff, provide support and assistance to our firm and our clients. Our offices are centrally located and are adjacent to the Long Island Expressway at One Suffolk Square, Suite 300, Islandia, New York.

The firm has been given an "AV" rating by Martindale-Hubbell, the highest rating available. There are two components to this rating. The first is the legal ability rating, which is based on the standard of ability for the areas in which we practice, and takes into consideration experience, nature of practice and qualifications relevant to the profession. The second component of the rating is a general recommendation based on adherence to professional standards of conduct and ethics.

Bracken & Margolin, LLP is engaged in the general practice of law, with an emphasis on litigation and business practice. Our litigation practice embraces a wide range of business disputes and labor law issues, personal injury and products liability claims, civil rights claims and contested estate matters. The firm has periodically been engaged as trial counsel to the profession. The broad scope of our litigation practice gives us a wide and balanced perspective on how to use litigation effectively to pursue a particular objective, including settling a case to advantage, as well as successfully litigating a case to its conclusion.

Our business practice encompasses a wide range of transactions and counseling, with an emphasis on real estate, banking, municipal law, labor relations and employment regulations, corporate counseling, the sale or purchase of assets or stock, the formation of partnerships, corporations and limited liability companies, joint ventures, arbitrations arising within specific industries, tax certiorari and condemnation, health law, probate and administration of estates, wills, trusts and estate planning. Clients of the firm range from individuals and newly-formed companies to established corporations, partnerships, title companies, investment advisors, employee associations, homeowner associations, municipalities and professionals.

Our attorneys, already experienced in numerous fields, provide cost-efficient services for our clients. We assure that all of our attorneys and paralegals are generally familiar with our clients' activities and the nature of the work required. This makes it possible for us to offer our clients timely advice, counsel and representation in a cost-efficient manner. It is our policy to assure that the best suited employee renders services to our clients in a cost-efficient manner, and partners delegate work to associates and paralegals based on their suitability to handle the particular project. Fee arrangements are flexible depending on the nature of the work involved and adjusted to the needs of the client.
