Linda U. Margolin was
born in New York, New York on May 27, 1949, and became a member of the New York State
Bar in 1976. Ms. Margolin is admitted to practice in the United States Supreme
Court, the U.S. Second Circuit Court of Appeals, and the U.S. District Courts for
the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York. She graduated from William Smith
College (B.A., cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa, 1970) and New York University School of
Law (J.D., magna cum laude, Order of the Coif, 1975), and was Law Clerk to Hon.
Jacob Mishler, Chief Judge, U.S. District Court, Eastern District of New York from
1975-76.
Ms. Margolin is an active member of the Suffolk County Bar Association (Director,
1988-91) and is a past or present member of the Federal Courts, Civil Rights,
Appellate Practice, Judicial Screening, Nominating and Bench Bar Committees, the
New York State Bar Association (Commercial and Federal Litigation Section; General
Practice and Municipal Law Committees). She has lectured on federal practice and
other topics for the Suffolk Academy of Law, and has an "AV" attorney rating in
Martindale-Hubbell Law Directory.
Ms. Margolin has extensive experience in commercial and other litigation in the
state and federal courts, on both the trial and appellate levels.
